Overview
With the introduction of the Ontario Ministry of Education's
IEP 2000 Standards, a new IEP system is required. IEP-XT from
Media-X Systems enables the development of standardized IEPs,
which tracks all required information. It provides in-depth
resources for developing detailed IEPs, allowing you to specify
classroom accommodations and transition plans as required,
in addition to other features of the IEP.
Access and Administration
Access is restricted on a per teacher basis,
which protects student data from accidental mistakes. One
or more teachers can be designated as administrator(s). Administrators
have special privileges, such as enabling multi-user status,
adding and/or modifying teacher accounts. Admininstrative
users can also create and modify student accounts. At least
one teacher must be assigned to a student before an IPRC or
IEP can be developed.
School information such as address, board logo,
and mission statement can be customized to appear on all records.
If existing student tracking systems are in place, the data
may be imported. The IEP is based on Ontario Ministry of Education's
2000 standard specifications.
Confidentiality
Teachers, who do not have administrative access,
will only see the students assigned to them.
Additional Features
By using IEP-X, you can develop an IPRC, navigate
the IPRC via the table of contents, track meeting times, and
monitor goals, strategies and timelines. You can also build
an IEP for the current student or develop a transition plan,
monitor a student's strengths and needs, and include learning
expectations, annual goals and levels of achievement. This
software allows you to track strategies, accommodations, human
resource needs, and find detailed information on assessment,
evaluation, and reporting methods.
Printing
IEP-X allows you to link directly to the relational
report card and print forms for completed IEP sections or
specific section of the IPRC or IEP. Additionally, a number
of blank forms are available for data collection during meetings
and interviews.
Ontario features
Currently, IEP-X is only available in the Ontario version.
